The Challenge
With a complex product portfolio spanning multiple truck types, series, and model lines, KION's sales teams needed instant, reliable access to accurate product information — without spending hours on manual research. The challenge was to consolidate fragmented internal knowledge and make it available at scale, across borders and languages.
The Solution
KION partnered with Genow to build a central, AI-supported knowledge platform that consolidates internal sales documentation into a single, reliable source of truth. Hosted within KION's own cloud infrastructure, the platform enables full control over data, models, and costs.
On top of this foundation, KION developed the GenAI-driven Sales Assistant: an intelligent co-pilot that provides sales teams with instant access to relevant product information, upselling options, and customer-specific sales arguments — at lightning speed.

The Genow-powered Sales Assistant transforms raw, technical data into compelling, customer-ready messaging. It understands KION products deeply and translates specifications into language that resonates with customers.

Multilingual Impact
Initially piloted in the UK, adoption grew steadily from the start. The system processes documents in English, German, French, and Italian, while generating answers in Czech, Polish, and many other languages. Since KION products are largely available across the EMEA region, this multilingual capability enables rapid market expansion and cross-border knowledge sharing — without additional operational overhead.
Looking Ahead
Following the successful UK pilot, KION plans to roll out the Sales Assistant across the entire ITS EMEA region, along with a corresponding solution for STILL. A cross-functional team from IT, business units, and AI specialists continues to evolve the solution, expanding functionality and selectively integrating new generative AI models as requirements grow.
With Genow as its technological foundation, the Sales Assistant is transitioning from a pilot initiative into a long-term strategic asset for KION's global sales operations.
